Well, as the oldest of the Duggar clan, it seems like Josh Duggar and his wife Anna are definitely following in Josh’s parents footsteps. The couple recently announced that Anna is pregnant with baby #4. Anna took to Twitter on Tuesday, December 2nd, to announce the happy news. She tweeted: “We are so excited to announce… we’re pregnant! #4andCounting #BlesingfromTheLord @joshduggar #19kids”. Congratulations are in order to the happy couple! Josh and Anna, both 26, got married in September of 2008, and were very quick to get pregnant with their first child. The couple has also mirrored Josh’s family by using all “M” names for their three children so far, as all of Josh’s 18 siblings also have “J” names. Mackynzie Renee was born in October 2009, and brother Michael James followed in June 2011. Baby Marcus Anthony joined the family in June 2013. No word yet on whether the baby is a boy or a girl, but Josh revealed in an interview with The Washington Post that Anna is due in early June of 2015.
Anna did announce that she is nine weeks pregnant, and just a few months behind her sister in law Jill Duggar, who announced her pregnancy in August 2014. Duggar sister Jessa also just got married to Ben Seewald just a few months ago, so it will be interesting to see if she has a pregnancy announcement in the near future as well. It is very interesting to see that the eldest child of the Duggar clan is following in his parents’ footsteps, and the world will be watching to see if his other siblings follow suit. Several of the Duggar children have already expressed interest in having as big of a family as possible.
One thing that will be interesting to watch is how Josh and Anna handle being pregnant this time around. Now that they have moved to Washington DC, this will be the first baby they have had outside of Arkansas, and we will have to wait and see whether they decide to have another homebirth this time around or a hospital birth. It will be very fun to watch them decide what to do, and also interesting to see how they handle having this new pregnancy without all their family around. We wish them all the luck in the world, and know that they will do a great job with their new addition.
