Babymoon

A babymoon is used to describe a pregnant couple’s last getaway together before welcoming their first child. Many celebrity couples like Prince William and Kate, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, and so much more. It’s like a honeymoon but with a bump!

Why would you have a babymoon?

There are many reasons why you and your partner should consider having a babymoon. Since it is your last getaway together before your baby comes out, it will be a perfect time to bond, talk about your relationship, your plans and what you feel about having a child soon.

A babymoon can help you make your bond even stronger as you dedicate this time for yourselves. You can do the things that you like to do together or get that must-have massage that you were planning to have. This is the perfect time for you to laugh, get silly, enjoy and do the things that you both love.

When should you have a babymoon?

A babymoon sounds really fun. However, when you think of a baby bump on the vacation, even a small one, doesn’t sound like a good idea.

Doctors say that the first and the third trimester may be challenging for a woman to go on a babymoon. It is most pregnant women feel nauseous and experience morning sickness during the first trimester. The third trimester, on the other hand, will also be as equally difficult since, by that time, you will have a swollen belly and will be catching breath most of the time. So the second trimester would be the best time to go on a babymoon.

What are the things to consider on a babymoon?

Distance
It is not advisable that you travel for hours and hours just to be able to go to the spot. You are there to relax in the first place, so choose a place that is near your area. Those that are astonishing but are a bit far can wait ’til the baby is out. Additionally, you also do not want to have any problems related to your pregnancy on the road.

Place
For the babymoon, don’t choose a very secluded place. Choose a place that is near a hospital. Not that something bad might happen to you but for emergency purposes, there is always a hospital nearby that you can run to for assistance.

Activities
There are no specific activities that need to be done during a babymoon so just do what you and your partner like to do. Give yourself a break from long walking and stairs – instead, you and your partner can enjoy the sunset or the beach.

The price
When it comes to having a babymoon, the best advice is: do not go broke while doing a babymoon. Just go to the place that offers affordable deals. Additionally, you still have to save up for the labor and delivery. There are places you can enjoy without breaking your bank account so choose those.

First-time pregnancy must be very exciting for a couple. So before the big day comes, pamper yourselves and spend some bonding time together. Going on a babymoon will help you in so many ways you may not realize. And by the time your little one arrives, you would not regret not spending time together when your little one was still in the womb.
