One week after delivering her beautiful baby girl, Daphne Oz appeared via Skype on her TV Show “The Chew”, where she updated everyone on her progress, and also, her baby girl’s very unique name. Describing the birthing process as “hell”, Daphne went on to say that it was all totally worth it to get to meet her daughter!
The little one’s name is Philomena Bijou Jovanovic- what a mouthful! The name Philomena has been gaining in popularity recently due to the success of the Oscar award nominated movie Philomena, based on the real life story of mother Philomena Lee.
Bijou, of course, means “jewel” in French. Daphne, ever the foodie, revealed that she has been calling her new baby girl PBJ, and also “Philo”, just like filo dough! How cute!
The beautiful blonde looked radiant via Skype, even though she gave birth only a week ago, and admitted that she had only had two hours of sleep the night before! The couple had previously said they weren’t going to find out their baby’s sex until delivery, so we are sure that was a wonderful surprise for them!
The couple has been married for three years, and this is their first baby together, so we know they are thrilled! Dr. Oz was thrilled as well, as he took to Twitter:
‘My daughter @DaphneOz delivered her first child!’ he wrote. ‘I’m holding my beautiful granddaughter now. Thank you for all the well-wishes & prayers!”
We are sure that it won’t take the foodie host Daphne very long to get back to her pre-baby shape! The blonde beauty was active throughout her entire pregnancy, even walking the runway at New York’s Fashion Week back in February when she was 8 months pregnant! We’re sure that this beauty will drop all of her baby weight and be back to her thin and trim self in no time! Congrats to all on the new addition!
