Just when you think reality TV couldn’t get any weirder, here come Leann Rimes and Eddie Cibrian, pitching their new scripted reality show to networks all over the county. Yep, you read that right. Leann, 30, and Eddie, 39, have been pitching around an idea for a scripted reality show based on their life together. In the show, Eddie and Leann would play themselves, but different versions of themselves, ala “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here
The show’s plan was to draw experiences from the couple’s real lives, while hiring child actors to play Eddie’s two sons, Mason, age nine, and Jake, age six. Oh yeah, the show also planned to have a “crazy ex wife” character to play Eddie’s ex Brandy Glanville, of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame. Reports have leaked out that Eddie and Leann have met with several different networks in order to get their show picked up and their story out there.
So, is there a network that is gonna pick up this show and let us watch this dysfunctional comedy? Ummm, probably not. Preliminary reports show that 74% of viewers would NOT want to watch a show like this, so… the outlook is highly doubtful that any (reputable) network is going to pick up a show like this! Apparently, Leann is extremely saddened that no one wants to pick up the show, because she really thought it was going to be her ticket to fame and being relevant again.
A source close to Leann says:
“LeAnn has seen how The Real Housewives show has turned Brandi (Eddie’s ex-wife) into a star. She has a best-selling book and is always in the magazine and on the TV talk shows. LeAnn thinks a reality show could do the same thing for her.Plus, it will give her a chance to show America who she really is.”
Well, sorry Leann, it is not looking like it is going to happen for ya! As for Brandi, she’s keeping her sense of humor, as usual. When asked who she would want to play her if Eddie and Leann’s reality show got picked up, Brandi says:
“I’d want Denise Richards to play me. She’s been through similar situations,” adding, “She’s hot!” Brandi said.
Guess it will all remain to be seen whether or not this “interesting” reality show concept will be picked up by any of the networks!
