Baby Bump

She’s only 11 weeks along, and Jill Duggar is already starting to show! The “19 Kids and Counting” reality show star is already posting pics of her teeny tiny baby bump on social media. Jill, 23, and her husband Derick Dillard, 25, tied the knot on June 21 in Springdale, Ark, and a little over two months later, the couple announced they are expecting their first child together, which was extremely soon. Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here

While it is super cute to watch Jill’s baby bump grow from almost nothing, the super conservative reality star has raised a few questions after posting her bump photos to Instagram.

The Questions

When Jill and Derick posted an Instagram photo of Jill’s bump, saying that she is 13 weeks and one day along, it raised a few eyebrows. That is because 13 weeks and one day is 93 days and Jill and Derick had only been married for 90 days at the time.

But, did this mean that the ultra-conservative couple who claimed to have saved even their first kiss for their wedding day had really had premarital sex. The experts say that is not necessarily true. When it comes to calculating conception, the counting begins with the first day of your last normal menstrual period before you got pregnant.

In other words, the counting begins about two weeks before you have even conceived. Why does the counting begin that early? It starts at that point primarily it is because it is difficult to pinpoint the exact date a woman conceived, and the first date of her last menstrual period is a much easier marker to identify.

Once you have that date down, you can establish your estimated due date by adding 40 weeks, or 280 days. And voila, you’ll have a due date and know what month baby will be born.

Moving Right Along

Now that it is clear that Jill and Derick really were married when they conceived, there is no more drama to talk about, and now we can all sit back and watch Jill’s tiny little baby bump continue to grow. The adorable young couple is addicted to social media, so that is a good thing for those of us who like to watch pregnancies progress.

The most recent picture the couple posted featured a shot of Jill’s five week baby bump compared to her 11 week baby bump. “By the end of next week, all of our baby’s body parts, from tooth buds to toenails, will be developing!” the 25-year-old captioned the two-up photo, which compared Jill’s 5-week belly to her bump now at 11 weeks. “#firsttrimesterprogression #babydilly #19kidsandcounting.” So cute. We can not wait to follow this couple as their baby grows and develops.
