This girl doesn’t waste any time! Only four weeks after tying the knot with Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson has announced that she is expecting a baby! In the way of the world, Kelly took to Twitter to make the special announcement, tweeting: Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here
“I’m pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever,” she posted on Twitter.
The news is super exciting, but it really isn’t any big shocker. Kelly has long said that she has the “mom gene” and really “digs the mom thing”, so we all knew that she would be starting a family as soon as possible!
Her husband has two children from a previous marriage: Seth is 6 and Savannah is 12, so she has been getting lots of mommy practice lately! (Brandon’s ex recently told People Magazine: “My kids love her. I couldn’t ask for a better stepmother for my children.”) Awww! Warm fuzzies all the way around.
Rumors started to fly about the possibility of Kelly being pregnant when she and Brandon ditched their lavish wedding plans (they were supposed to elope) and decide instead to get married in an intimate (and absolutely gorgeous!) wedding in Tennessee instead. Right after that, she appeared on the tonight show, where she was asked point blank if she was pregnant.
“We are not announcing anything right now! We’re not, no,” she said with a huge smile. “Practice makes perfect! We’re trying, trying, trying … like rabbits!”

Kelly recently sat down with Savannah Guthrie of The Today Show, and she was absolutely gushing about becoming a mommy! So cute!
“I was just dying to tell people, but we were trying to wait until the end of my first trimester…but everybody kept talking about it and I had to cancel something because I’ve been so ill,” the 31-year-old mother-to-be explained. “I didn’t want people to think that I’m canceling because I’m lazy or something. So, we just told people. But we had a really good reason.”
She’s also really, really, REALLY pushing for a girl! Like so many of us, she researched up and down about the best ways on how to get pregnant with a girl.
“I’m totally gonna have a girl. I’m manifesting it! And when I have a girl, you’re gonna be like, ‘That chick knew it!'” she giggled to Savannah.
She also has baby names picked out, but you’re not going to get those out of her! Kelly says that she and Brandon had already named their kid, before they were even pregnant, and she is too afraid to tell anyone the name, in case they steal it! She is so adorable, so down to earth and funny, and we know she is going to make a wonderful mother! Congratulations Kelly and Brandon!
