A new royal family member

New nanny, reporting for duty! Prince William and Kate Middleton have chosen Prince George’s new nanny! Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo has been chosen to be the new nanny for Prince George. Maria is from Spain, and Will and Kate are breaking tradition by not hiring a British nanny. Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here

The hiring of Maria as nanny comes right before Will, Kate, and baby Prince George leave on their whirlwind trip to Australia and New Zealand. Borrallo was trained at the famous Norland College, known for their rigorous training of nannies and child care workers.

Reportedly, Norland College trains their nannies in self defense, defensive driving, how to foil an attempted kidnapping using a “pram dodge technique”, and how to keep their charges away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi, as well as driving in poor weather conditions and other helpful lessons.

Full time help

Maria will join the two other staff members at Kensington Palace, a driver/orderly and a housekeeper. Will and Kate prefer to keep things small and intimate and don’t want to have any other help. It took them this long to hire a nanny in the first place, although they did temporarily hire 71 year old Jessie Webb to help them out. Jessie was Will and Harry’s nanny when they were young, so it was only fitting for her to help out with Prince George as well. She reportedly came out of retirement to help with the young prince. We’re glad Kate and Will have found someone that they can trust.

Not much revealed

While Will and Kate are probably very happy to have a full time nanny now to help out with Georgie, the palace is not revealing many details about Miss Borrallo. The new nanny, who is in her thirties, was first spotted a few weeks ago, pushing Prince George in a stroller in Kensington Gardens. We don’t know much more about her than that, and we likely won’t hear more about her for awhile.

“As an employee of the Royal Household we would ask, please, that Maria’s privacy, and that of her family and friends, be respected. We will not be giving further details on Maria or her employment, except to say that The Duke and Duchess are of course delighted she has chosen to join them,”

the Palace said in a statement. Maria will be looking after George when he is not with his parents during their Australian and New Zealand tours in a few weeks. She has already been on the job for a couple of weeks, and seems like she is doing great!
