BPA = Dangerous

We’ve heard a lot about BPA lately, and how dangerous it is. BPA is in almost everything, and it can cause so many different health problems. BPA used to be found in almost all plastics, from baby bottles to food containers to kid’s toys.

Recently, the US Food and Drug Administration has really started to crack down on BPA, and it has been removed from most of the things we use in our daily life. The FDA insists that the BPA that is still found in plastic products is completely safe. However, not everyone believes them. There is a new study out that shows that there is an increased risk of miscarriage in women who are exposed to high levels of BPA. Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here

All About The Study

This new study was conducted by Dr. Linda Giudice, a California biochemist who is president of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Guidice and her colleagues studied 115 women who had recently found out they were pregnant.

All of these women in the study had a history of infertility or miscarriage. Only 47 of the women ended up having live births, and the other 68 women had pregnancies that resulted in miscarriage. The researchers then analyzed blood samples from each of the women. The results were quite alarming.

The Results

The women were divided into four different groups, based on the levels of BPA in their blood. The women in the top level (with the most BPA in their system) were 80 percent more likely to have a miscarriage than women in the bottom level, even though the women had nearly identical medical histories, ages, etc.. The researchers said that there might have been other risk factors associated with the women who had high levels of BPA, but they weren’t sure. There really does need to be much more research done on the subject.

What You Can Do

Experts urge everyone to try to stay clear of BPA whenever possible, even though it hasn’t been proven to be something that actually causes miscarriage.

While it is very difficult to completely avoid BPA, since it is in so many different products, you can take great care to minimize your exposure. Make sure that you never microwave any food or drink in a plastic container, since BPA can leak out. Also, don’t leave plastic water bottles out in the sun, where they can get hot and BPA can also leak out. BPA is found in many products, but you can try to watch out for them and see if you can possibly buy products that are labeled BPA free. The truth is, there is BPA in a ton of products that you would never realize, and it will be very difficult to ever fully remove it from our lives, but hopefully, we can try to cut back on our exposure to BPA. Taking a proactive approach to BPA exposure is probably your best bet for keeping it away from you and your family.
