Infertility is an issue many women suffer from. For some women, it could make their prospects of becoming pregnant extremely difficult. For others, it could create a longer journey to parenthood than women without these types of issues. Issues with Menstrual Cycle

One of the first things you may notice if you are suffering from infertility is issues with your menstrual cycle. This could be something that is non-existent or it could simply not occur regularly. Other women may experience periods that are extremely painful or heavy.

All of these symptoms could be signs that you are suffering from infertility. In these circumstances, you should track your ovulation cycle with either a basal thermometer or an ovulation predictor kit to determine if you are ovulating.

Hormonal Imbalances

Many women who are suffering from infertility find that it is caused by an imbalance of hormones. This could create changes in the woman’s skin, which could cause her to develop more acne than normal.

It could also cause her to grow more hair in places that are abnormal, like the lips, chest or chin. On the flip side, it could also cause the woman to begin losing hair or begin seeing her hair thin. Weight gain is also a sign of a hormonal imbalance that could affect fertility.

Additional Symptoms

A couple of other symptoms a woman may notice when she is suffering from infertility include a milky discharge from her nipples that is not related to breastfeeding. Pain during intercourse could also be a sign of infertility. If you notice any of these symptoms, discuss them with your doctor, especially if you are struggling to become pregnant.

Issues for Men

Men can also struggle from infertility. However, the symptoms and signs they may experience are usually difficult to notice. Some of the most pronounced signs could be a change in their sex drive or hair growth.

These are usually pretty noticeable and could be a sign of infertility. Issues with the testicles could also be a sign of infertility. For example, some men develop painful lumps around the testicles or have small firm testicles. Problems with erections and ejaculations could also be a sign of infertility.

When you are struggling to conceive, it is usually suggested that you seek medical attention if you have not become pregnant in over a year. However, for women who are over the age of 35, you should talk to your doctor after 6 months of trying to conceive. If you notice any of these signs, discuss them with your doctor early on in the process.
