This was always my favorite part of the second trimester! The creativity never hits a limit. If you can think it, then you can do it. Plain and simple. Below are my favorite ways to announce to your friends and family that you’re expecting a new bundle of joy! Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here
Back a cake and ice it half blue and half pink.
Perhaps a surprise gift of a bib that says “Grandma’s Baby” or perhaps a small pair of shoes with a tag that says “I’ll wear these in __ months <3 Baby (last name)
My daughter LOVED wearing a “big sister” t-shirt in front of our family at a reunion, at the time she was an only child. The whole family found out at once and it was great!
Not a big read “I’M HAVING A BABY” but something small like “Baby on Board” taped to mommy’s belly in a picture to mail out to the family. This works great if they live out of state.
These are priceless! Take a group photo but instead of “say cheese” try “say (so & so) is pregnant!” and snap that picture! You will be stunned at the faces you will capture in that image.
My best friend of 14 years did this to me. She took a picture of her ultrasound picture, cut out the due date and her birthday so that all I saw was the baby. It took me a few minutes but “WHAT! Did she just TEXT me her pregnancy?!”
Place a hamburger bun in your oven. When your significant other comes home to have him check what is in the oven, be prepared with a camera for the face! What an adorable pregnancy announcement! You can modify this announcement for out-of-towners by getting a dollhouse oven and loaf or bun, and send it to them. Super cute!
Buy small plastic babies at a craft store and freeze them in ice cubes. Simply drop the cubes into the drinks and see who guesses first.
Have a younger child deliver the news to awaiting family or friends “awww Mary is having a baby!”
While this will not be technically an accident- let it spill like it is. Slip up in conversation and mention having to register for a baby shower. Or decorate the nursery.
Send out little cards to the family with their relation to the baby on the front with a copy of an ultrasound picture on the inside.
I wish you the best of luck finding which way to announce your pregnancy suits you the best. Have fun with it- and do not be afraid to step outside the box!
