To help in that effort we have put together a list of some of the best things you can do after sex to improve your chances of implantation and getting pregnant. Whether you want to know how to have twin babies or how to have a singleton, these tips are for you.

Gravity!

One of the best things you can do right after sex is to help the sperm travel along the reproductive tract to the waiting egg. To do this you’ll want to lay on your back with some comfy pillows or blankets under your bottom and then rest your legs straight up against a wall. This allows gravity to help the sperm move through the twisting channel instead of getting hindered by less mobility or blockages.

Just say no!

Some women who have had difficulty trying to conceive put a hold on certain vices like caffeine, cigarettes and alcohol that can lower their fertility and chances of conception. If you have allowed yourself to continue with these certain vices it is smart to put a hold on them until you at least get a confirmation of conception or not. Your body reacts negatively to caffeine, cigarettes and alcohol which can influence the chances of implantation, putting all of your hard work to waste.

Lower stress!

Stress can do a great deal of damage in the body in both the short term and long term. It can play havoc with your hormone levels and put added pressure on systems that are vital to the implantation process, so try to find ways to relax and de-stress as this will increase your chances of success. Additionally, using distractions in your life can help to not only ease your stress, but help you keep from constantly worrying and obsessing over whether you are pregnant or not.

Don’t over do it!

If you are waiting to hear whether you are pregnant or not it is smart not to over do it during this time. Just like stress can tax your body, overexertion can cause key systems to overwork themselves and take precedence over the implantation process. Try to scale back your exercise and actively social life during the first two weeks after ovulation to ensure the best environment for implantation to occur.
